Open in bottles about an hour before drinking (2 bottles opened at same time for group of eight). Medium bodied, reticent nose. Very nice and well integrated cab flavors, a bit of black pepper on the finish that paired really well with the grilled cheeseburgers. Tons of life left in these, no hint of bricking, lots of good fruit and lift left. A nice value at the $40 I paid for these and perfect for pairing with informal food.

Bordeaux blends Paulée with Lay & Wheeler (The George): Leanish and very Cabernet on the nose, with a strong pencil-shavings character. Plenty of bright red fruit on the palate, which was surprisingly soft and drinkable. Nice wine, but on this showing not as special as the Art Series Chardonnay.

Splits the difference very eloquently between an old world wine and a new world wine.
Medium body, red fruit, a bit of spice. Very harmonius.
