Last and best bottle. PnP. Mature and at its peak now. Prune and black berries, tobacco and leather, good freshness, smooth tannin, full bodied and long finish. Matched perfectly to the vegetarian Lasagne we had, drink within the next 2 to 3 years.

What happens if you leave a fairly priced wine in the callar for a few years? if you started with this one, you will end with a very nice evolution. Truth to be said, when I opened the bottle I was concerned that it might have passed the perfect point but in fact it did not yet. The tertiary aromas are now ver evident with vanilla, tobacco, liquorice, a subtle nuttiness/creaminess. Still the fruit and the spices are present. After this, only one bottle of this vintage in the cellar. Now the question is enjoy now or wait?

PnP, much better than the last bottle. Dark berries and first tertiary notes, good freshness, medium to full bodied and long finish. Not very complex, but still very typical Carignano, goes perfectly with Pizza, drink now or during the next 3 years.

Definitely it has improved since last drinking. Plums and spicy nose, mouth follows nose with vanilla. Smooth tannins. Recommend decanting 1h before drinking.
