Youthfully muted translucent purple. Incredible nuanced spice aromas with charcoal, plums, soy, nori, and wild blackberry. Surprising attack on entry. Savory Bacon, cracked pepper. Tiny wild berries. Incredibly long resonant finish. These 1905 vines produce some incredible fruit. Still tannic. This will go a very long time.

purchased this for fun from winebid. 20 year aged zin. nice rim variation. lots of prune and really dark fruit, still good heat though - little hot and probably just past it's prime given the stewed fruit flavors. fun to open side by side against the 2002 dragon vineyard. throwing a lot of sediment but really enjoyable and actually holding better than I would have imaged. really subtle and delicate but okay. no rating on this given known past it's prime.

1994 Turley blind horizontal tasting (Our home): Again, great color. Great smell of an older zin. This was my 4 th best wine of the evening and was 3rd place for the group. All of these wines were still holding their own as I took all of the bottles and merged the remains into one bottle and that was 4 hours later!

Dark, heavy on the palate, spiciness muted, good on the palate, definitly time to drink, went well with turkey and stuffing.
