Gang of 4 in Covid19 times; Margaux versus Pauillac (@ RW): Mature but still beautiful bouquet. The soy starts to appear. Same on the palate. Still dark berries, lead pencil carvings and beautiful oak. Beautiful acidity as well. But don’t wait much longer.

Enjoyable, not going to get better. The heat that 03s tend to show is now more muted and the flavour is good but there is little backbone. I'm going to drink them up now

Much better than I remember. Still dark, not much brick at the rim. Sweet fruit on the nose with a slight farmyard touch, or perhaps a bit burnt. Pleasant to drink. Blueberries and cherries, a dry, slightly sour refreshing finish, a bit hollow, but for this chateau in a difficult year, a good drink.

Mirabelles and plums on the nose, with spices backing them up. In the mouth, quite good fruit, plenty of plums with hints of spicy cherries, slightly burnt but not overpoweringly so. There are hints of Margaux elegance, the only disappointment being the short finish. Not bad for the vintage, satisfyingly well rounded and enjoyable.
