COLOUR: Medium to deep colour, between ruby and garnet red. NOSE: Dust, leather, slight earthiness, plums, green bell pepper and at the end a touch of black currant. With some air it opens up more without drastically changing its characteristics except for adding lead pencil and crushed black pepper. Quite nice on the nose. (88p) TASTE: The arrival is difficult to catch, dry and rather unimpressive. On the mid palate it is medium fruity (mainly dark red plums and black currant), slightly sweet, with quite rounded tannins. The aftertaste is slightly drying with a little black pepper (wood). (85p) Not an exceptional Cru Bourgeois. Mature, rounded 2000 “east bank style” red from the west bank, which is not completely balanced. Improved with food. Drinking nicely now and I would doubt that there is much to be gained from further cellaring. TOTAL SCORE 86 POINTS.

Flott vin. Fin lengde, fylde og tanniner. Lukter mørke bær og plomme, skog. Perfekt til biff med skogsopp. Kunne sikkert tålt et år eller to til, men ingen grunn til å vente :)

traditional bordeaux smell, forest and dark fruit. Nice acitity and still some fruit present. Would not keep it any longer.

Opened at Bistro Sakaba, Kutchan, Hokkaido. Still seemed youthful, tannins not yet fully resolved. A powerful 2000 cru bourgeois.
