  Plum colored - a faded purple. Aromatic with mocha notes and a hint of vanilla. Sweet oak flavors are prominent as are tannins - not sharp but plenty of firm structure w/ long mouthfeel. Coffee flavors too but not much distinct fruit. The alcohol is well integrated but the wood while not sharp is over present. We actually thought it all hung together better the second day.
