Bien bon.

My first experience with a Jura wine. Was expecting some funk and brett, but instead was greeted with a pretty clean wine. My first impression was of a mid-level bourgogne - very light and Pinot-like. Not much depth, a little softer with less acidity than I would like to see. Overall, pretty unremarkable and forgettable. Vacuvin'd overnight and it picked up some weight but was even softer. Nice wine, but I'm not geeked to go seek anymore out. I'm glad for the experience but there are way too many better options at this price point ($29).

Animal hide, pumperknickle, and celery salts to go with bright and tart red fruits and some light floral notes. Perhaps needs a bit more delineation, but simply pleasant and chuggable. Pure jura red delight.

Pinot Noir, Poulsard, Trousseau. Turbid. Floral, red berry, raspberry, very juicy and crunchy. A super chugable style. Not too funky.
