Terrific, building and expanding over an hour and then remaining at that level, full of Meyer lemon and mirabelle. You wonder about a little botrytis here but in a way that doesn’t detract but seems to enhance the opulence and resonance of the wine. Beautiful viscosity and finish.

Good to revisit this after 3 years. It is rich and concentrated with orchard fruit, yellow fruit, spice and herbs. Agree with previous comments, it is indeed coming off from peak. Drink up.

La Paulée de NY Gala Dinner (Pier 60 - NYC): Mature with a full, intense nose of bruised apple and pear. Fairly rich and layered with plenty going on but lacked a degree of freshness vs. some of the other Laguiche Montrachet bottles.

Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys La Paulée Auction; 3/10/2022-3/11/2022 (Le Bernardin Prive - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Fully+ mature but still interesting, just not nearly as complex as a bottle tasted 2 years ago. This even fell off in the 15 minutes from when my glass was poured until finished, but the bottle had been opened several hours earlier.

La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Probably the last vintage I expected to be most enjoyable tonight, but here it was. Rich and fully mature orchard fruit, sweet spice and toasted hazelnut with complex, layered character.
