Blind tasting, sensationell nose, spicy, extract sweetness, good length, not typical Bordeaux notes in nose and palate, nobody in this group guessed Ch. Musar, great length, ripe tannins and a still refreshing acidity, 95-96

Musar @ Mohsen (Mohsen, Warwick Road, London): Cloudy mid garnet. Musar more, sweet-fruited, a hint of cleanish barnyard and garrigue. Acidity comes through on the finish but the more is nicely nature claret-like. Improves through the evening.****

(Chateau Musar) Medium red color with pale meniscus; corked, musty nose; a little better on palate, with tart cherry, but TCA still showing (which is tragic, as I'd read this was a great vintage for Musar, but can find no other tasting notes)

WCC Blind Tasting of Chateau Musar and Chateau Montrose (Salty's Pub & Bistro, Clifton Park, NY): [Double decanted for one hour the previous evening.] Dirty, mulchy, dried up old wine. Drink up, with far less decant. Group WOTN. Go figure.

Tasted at the Sampler. Smooth and complex - this has clearly aged well. Forrest floor aromas and herbs.

Musar @ Mohsen (Mohsen, Warwick Road, London): Full, dark, opulent and fruity, velvet texture, refined for a Musar
