An Australian cab that drinks like a shiraz - deep and dark berries and spice, almost over extracted but just on the cusp. Goes well with cast-iron duck breast!

Very nice nose. I don't have much (barely any) experience with mid to higher level Australian Cabs, but this was impressive. I expected less from AUS.
Interesting nose. A touch of earthiness and funk. Definitely enjoyable. Certainly Australian in basic style but much more balanced and delicate than I am used to from them.

Australia Tasting (One Market, SF): A little menthol / eucalyptus / pyrazines. Very modest use of oak. Dark fruit - blackcurrant. Some cedar, stemmy woodiness. Very nice. Balanced. Medium plus tannins, high alcohol, elevated acid. Ripe but holding it well.

Really nice. Dark fruit and spice. Definitely ripe, but not sweet or over the top like some Aussie wines I've had recently.
