  complex tertiary nose, earthy, dusty, clay, hints of menthol, raisins, dried dark fruit, concentrated, acidic, structured tannin, still not fully resolved, excellent length, some years ahead but drinking well

  Soft on the noise, well rounded fruity body, great drinking. It will last years, maybe decades yet.

  Deep red color. Spicy nose with dark berries, black currant and blueberries. Dominant sweetness on the palate, soft tannins, silky. Medium finish. Still not too old. Some years left.

  - Garnet color - Disappointing as it appears I let this go way too long. Even over 5 hours , this never came around and was just too sweet, flabby and definitely over the hill. Maybe a bad bottle?

  A well made wine. Quite a savoury wine and needs time to open up. The evolution over a 4 hour period was striking. Best to decant this wine 4 - 5 hours before consumption. Dark plum, smoky and very savoury nose, followed by a well balanced body dressed with cassis, blueberry and earthy / savoury notes. Fruit was still present and alive and tannin was quite fine. Drink now or 7+ years.
