Opened two bottles. The color of the first was showing brownish hues and was oxidized. The second was significantly better, but was still showing some slight oxidation. Very disappointing as one would a properly stored grand cru to have more than a 14 year life. Thanks Ann and Mike for offering this wine.

Another marvelous dinner at Scaramouche. Drank together with 2006 Prince Florent de Merode Corton-Bressandes. Deep yellow colour. This one started our closed and not giving much but yellow fruit. The palate showed well defined balanced yellow fruit and wood, all little austere at fist but by the end of 3 hour dinner it blossomed. Incredible balance and complexity. This wine needs another 3 to 5 years minimum.

PnP. Pale yellow colour. Pronounced oaky bouquet, difficult to find the fruit. Same goes for the taste, m+A, mB, dry mellow finish, possesses some concentration. Wait some years for the oak to integrate if it ever will? Day 2: Same showing! Day 3: Now the oaky dominance has given up and the wine is well balanced, now showing yellow fruits backed up by sweet oaky stuff. 93p. Incredible change- I’ll wait five years before trying the next bottle. If serve now several hours decanting is needed.
Note: in between tasting the bottle was vaccumized.

Compared to the "overripe" Montille, this is indeed very overripe, very 2006, if even a bit advanced/honeyed. Solid wine-making, intense nose, minerals. Soft and classic CC palate. 92

Soft round. Seems to lack a point of view but well balanced and a very nice bottle of chard. Drinking well.
