Tasted over 3 hrs, edition 4 (of 6) of 2014 Bertheau horizontal -med dark red minimal clearing -some Burg funk red fruit barrel spice -med/med+ acidity, med weight sappy focused intensity sweet dark red fruit with a hint of maturity peeking in and some barrel spice with a slightly distracting faint medicinal note on the finish with the med/med- tannins -compared to the multi-site 1er cru, a step up in sappy power without weight, on its mature plateau

Mainly Vosne and Chambolle GCs: Some similarity to the '07 RSV but I had a nagging doubt that this could have been a BM (theme was GC). When it was revealed to be not a Vosne, immediately guessed Bertheau as the producer. Slightly advanced for its age with some mushroom notes developing, but very pretty, transparent dark cherry fruit.

Beautiful nose, cherries, candy, jam, reminds me of Drops of God description of the Amoureuses where the protagonist likens his experience to walking through a garden of flowers & forest, so refined, wow nose, mouthfeel was soft, silky, this will still improve with age, next bottle in 3-4 years 94+

So far so bad. No finish and not much fruit. Serve to guests that don’t know any better.

bright red fruit, lovely acidity. too racy to be called rich. tasted alongside the '10 which was rather similar but had more complexity. Hold.
