interesting wine, but clearly here the hand/style covers the terroir, we had this in a blind tasting and the spicy notes, peppery notes and dark color drove everybody to think this was Cornas. I liked the wine and style, overall a good wine that can still age, but drinking quite well now

Lonny Should Turn 65 More Often (The Kenwood, Mpls, MN): Medium dark red plus color. PNP, drank a glass over 90 minutes. Showing strawberry, ripe fruits, raspberries, a strong streak of tobacco, juicy with huckleberry on the palate, whole cluster character, nice tannins and a hint of diesel on the finish. I would expect a little upside here over 3-5 years or so.

Lonny's Burg in a flight with my '06 Fourrier CSJ & Kevin's 02 Jadot CSJ. Tonight, Lonny's btl at age 8, showed it still has miles to travel before it realizes its full potential. Full of promise with Dujac's signature whole cluster influence currently out front. This may never exemplify CMs more feminine character? Nor the fruit abundance & richness of Jadot's Grand Crus? I think I may have enjoyed it a bit more, standalone. Tonight, the 2 Gevery CSJs ruled the red Burg flight. At least for me. Thanks Lonny for opening this! Hope there is another to open around 2026+.

This was pretty tight on day 1. On day 2, great red fruit and huge stem / spice. For some reason this reminded me of a DRC Corton but with a shorter drier finish. I liked this even if it was a bit stylistic.

pretty light floral nose, soft cool seamless fruit on the palate.
