I always wanted to try this wine just because of the name-Christ tears and the legend that vines grew on mount Vesuvio where they fall blah blah blah...
Red color lighter at the edges with brown hue showing sings of aging (already?). Earthy nose with striking smell of freshly cut mushrooms, which I like a lot. Some coffee and leather. Medium to full body, dusty cherries on the palate with some dark fruit and earth flavors. Smooth easy drinking wine. Short finish. Pleasant everyday wine but overpriced.

Definitely a food wine but very interesting. Nose of some red fruit, leather and dust. On the palate of mineral and leather but the fruit is not there very much. Short finish and not super memorable.

Initial VA aromas that lean towards balsamic vinegar. More fruit on the palate but very light bodied and simple with similar vinegar notes. Was better with pasta and tomato sauce but not recommended.

There wasn't anything in particular wrong with it and it was good with food, but probably wouldn't buy again at the price.
