  • Good natty nose with some light farmyard and raspberry. Echoed in the mouth, but less so. Light bodied and liquid (not viscous). Maybe too light bodied, like a Bordolino. 12.5%ABV. No noticeable RS. 90+pts. $21 at Doris'. Try another vintage, maybe older.

  • Light bodied minimal fruit. Really needs to be paired with food. That said, this is really great with a Caprese salad.

  • Great food wine. The fruit on the nose did not translate to the palate. The palate is very rustic, mushrooms, soil, tobacco. When paired with food but the dish and the wine are amplified and improved.

  • Color: medium ruby with purple
Nose: ripe but not more plum and dark cherry. Rustic barnyard, a clear lactic note, and a bit of white flower pollen and burning tire
Palate: medium-high acidity, medium tannins that are fairly grippy, light bodied or a bit more. Nice rustic aromatics and pretty intense
    Finish: medium

This is a very good southern Italian volcanic red with a light body. Food necessary, stands up to most things that are not seafood. I had this with a Neapolitan ragù and loved it. Needs 30 mins of air, room temp. I think time in bottle is not necessary here.
