  • Very, very, very ripe and raisin-y; a Bordeaux for modern Napa lovers.

  • Decanted two hours and drank over another hour. Small Production averaging 1000 cases a year so very Pomerol like as far as production. Throwing sediment already. First sip I thought it had a lot of Cab Sauvignon. Musty Old World nose. Medium body. Smooth. I feel tannins are low and fruit still a bit tight and tart. I don’t think this is a 20 plus year wine. This is the most unique tasting 15 StE I’ve had so far but quite enjoyable and different. No idea where this goes. I’m inclined to wait another 6 months to a year to try again. I feel the Cab Franc is a bit young with some green notes. Maybe more bottle time helps. Agree QPR at $69 is too high.

  • Medium body. Black and blue fruit on the nose, fresh in the mouth with ripe fruit and balanced acidity with grainy tannin, nuanced pleasing finish. Perhaps some Cab Franc coming through. Alcohol over 14.5% typically gets in the way, in my experience; however, although this wine is 15% the fruit and nuance overcome the alcohol. Good now, likely better in a year or two. QPR: today's price is a bit high in my opinion.

  • Opened and decanted for 2 hours and I am seriously underwhelmed by this wine. Got a glass here now and the nose is reminiscent of Brillo. the palate is full of a strange fruit forwardness with a lot of acidity, low tannins and low on professional flavor for a Bordeaux. I was sold this as an outstanding bottle of wine and I have a mind to pour the rest down the drain. I call it as I see it and this is not a wine to gush over.

  • Double aerated into the glass, no decant. Musty and floral on the nose. Dense, lush, very ripe berries on the palate. Mellow, heavy, Merlot finish, smothered fine tannins with a little acidic burst in the back of the throat. A bit flabby and not much layering or noticeable terroir. Maybe starting to fade. Not bad, but I've had better for less from the Right Bank.
