Coravin pour at Plucky's. Plum and crushed raspberries with mocha, herbal flavors, minerals, dusty tannins, and a spicy finish. This was really nice and has plenty of life left.

Opened a few hous before drinking and left in a decanter. Opened up nicely with a nose of dusty oak, mocha, plums, black fruits and savoury notes.
Palate was nicely mature with some tannins that were not overpowering. Intensity was good and acid was moderate,
There is a range of fruit characters - cassis, plum, blackberry and leafy undergrowth, meshed to mocha oak and some nuttiness. The oak is in the background and adds depth rather than overpowering the wine.
It isn’t a great wine but it is as good as planty of classed growths and shows the vintage well.
Performs well after 9 years as typical Saint-Estephe note as ample dark fruits on the nose and spicy, earthy tones on the palate. Tannins are softened but noticeable. Acidic backbone gives a nice support on the finish. A good illustration of the old world Bordeaux

Decent value that is still in stores for $45-50. Drinking great. Soft on the palate, nice dark fruit that lingers nicely.
