  • Nose: Green, p funk, some strawberries, black pepper, cherry syrup

Palate: Light cherry, high acid, fine mouthfeel, very fine grained tannin.

Drinks like a highly refined California pinot. Some molasses. Fruit forward, but light sophisticated, a lot of the classic California notes. Very enjoyable.

  • Popped and poured. Quite light in color, light red ruby with more than a hint of orange. After half an hour, this has began to open nicely. Fine balance between fruit and acid. Nose combines lovely soil and cherry fruit; really married together rather nicely. Has a real presence in the mouth, with dark red fruit and earth that once again are really impressive. I'm really liking this style, as it seems to get better and better with each sip. Glad I opened this when I did as it is very nice, but seems to have the stuff to last at least several more years without seeing any decline. Pretty stuff. 4-12-17-9: 92/100.

  • From half.
Burgundy color with some browning and translucency.
Nose some earth and red fruits.
Palate initially some monolithic red fruits with an almost tannic bite on end. As it warms and sits, more earthy depth, still a bit inchoate in its fruity depth.

Still young even from a half; with a 750, would wait at least a few more years if not longer. Nice potential however. 90+

  • Very light and faded amber in color. Savory aroma of red cherries, blood orange and earth. Compared to last year when I last tried this, this felt more open with better fruit intensity of red berries, raspberries and earth. Well made with good balance and finish. Just wish I have more of this.
