It was perfectly mature, with a nose of decaying leaves, mushroom and damp earth. There was still something sweet, jubey and vinous at the wine’s heart. It was perfumed, tertiary, silky and persistent. Structural elements have all but folded into the wine.

(Georges Lignier et Fils Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Clos des Ormes) Bricking medium red color with clear meniscus; mature, truffle, earthy nose; tasty, mature, bacon fat, tart red fruit, mineral, iodine palate; medium-plus finish (lovely for drinking now, and should go 5+ more years)

PnP, grassy, really fresh, sweet, bodied and conformed. Some light fruit after air. Good with the baby squid pasta! 91-92
