Light garnet in color with slight breaking edge. Nose of cherries, and cola with a hint of leather. Taste of cherries, cola, leather, and a hint of chocolate. Drinks well with an interesting sweet characteristic to it. Good balance. And at or just passed its peak. Drink now.

Popped and poured. Perfect cork. Very slightly browned and red color. Lots of fine sediment, recommend decanting. Sweet cherry, some orange rind and a little balsamic on the nose. The palate is broad and sappy, sweet and somewhat simple. Still very lively, but this doesn’t have that extra gear that sometimes develops with age.

Amazing cherry fruit, excellent balance, elegant in the mouth with long finish. Mature, but with no real signs of age, color is pure with no oranging and is an good example of the longevity of fine California Pinot’s.

P: LM body; NICE frt beautifully off-set by a tangy acidity which seamlessly morphs into a LONG, tangy finish with a SWTNESS to the remaining very, VERY fine tannins. May have already peaked, though should still drink nicely for a couple of yrs more. My EXCEPTIONAL-. 91 pts RJonWine.

This wine is smooth upon popping the cork. Had with a dish of szeged goulash with pork and halusky and the wine went well as it was light to medium in body. This wine would have been pleasant by itself. While not particularly rich, the combination of food and wine was very satisfying.
