  Coming back again and I must say I am really impressed now. Color is medium gold. On the nose: Lemon and orange, green apple and lots of minerals. On the palate: Green apple, citrus (orange then lemon), hint of fruit sweetness (very nice) and a bit of butterscotch. Good length and mouthfeel. This is my last bottle and I wish I had more. I think it is starting to hit its prime. This was made to age. It is wonderful.

  September BYO (Ole Johan): Golden straw yellow. Nose with mint, butter, kohlrabi, oak, burnt matches and pinesol. Medium viscosity. Cool acidity, and good length. Concentrated taste of mint, cool citrus, and with hints of mint and sulphur.

  This bottle didn't age well. While it retained a fair amount of acidity, the rest of the experience was quite flat/dull. The fruit was oxidized. Not entirely unenjoyable but a disappointment given the label and price.

  Traditionally I primarily drink only zinfandel products from this vineyard, however, I was pleased with this chard. The wine has a distinctive gold color with aromas of honeydew melon. The flavors of green apples is combined with the melon and lemon (almost a lemon/lime tilt). There is a very slight after taste of flint. I like the balance of acidity and tannins in the bottle and believe that this wine has another 2-3 years.

  Lys strågul med gyllent skjær. Heftig rik duft av smørmalt, brunet smør, popcorn, flint og brent fyrstikk, og det er et innslag av lime og sitrus i form av grillet sitron. Dette er en svær og fyldig vin med stor konsentrasjon og en utpreget smak av smørmalt. Rik frukt med sitrus og et lite tropisk innslag, et tydelig preg av eikefat og masser av ‘power’, og det blir nesten litt for mye av det gode, men bare nesten. Det er en oljete/småfet munnfølelse med god dybde og flintaktig mineralitet, og en stram, ren og energisk syrestreng gjennom hele smakskurven. Ettersmaken sitter i vel et minutt med flint og smørmalt på utpust. Imponerende vin! 93 +
