  A very youthful and pleasant showing of a 25 year old village wine. On the nose a bit spice and some dark earth. On the palate a bit of smoke, bacon, and red cherry fruit. A bit of black tea emerges after 2 hours in the decanter. Very soft and easy going. Lacks some of the depth and structure of the 93 Hubert Lignier Gevrey Chambertin 3 weeks ago.
