2015 was not a good year for Chablis. Nonetheless, this is well made with structure and character, although these seems to be just a too much residual sugar for my palate. Some of this sugar may recede with further ageing. I don't know, but I would be prepared, if that were the case, to risk farmyard.

I'm not a big Chablis expert (only started to buy and store some better examples two years ago) but this was certainly one of the best Chabils I've had so far. The warm year produced a rich Chablis which offers already great drinking pleasure this young. The highlight for me was exactly that. Cool, fresh, mineralic Chabli paired with some sweet fruit, you don't usually find in such abundance. The low-light was the nose which was not giving much.
TN: Muted nose which over the course of 45 minutes never really showed much. Better on the palate with fresh apple, sweet apple, citrus and wet slate. Very well integrated acidity to keep it fresh but not making it astringent. Very well balanced but with a slightly short finish.
Decanting: This wine was not decanted. Probably it would have shown more on the nose with a two hour decant.

Not that expressive. Nose mostly greenish apple and pear. Palate first buttery and quince coming through. Relatively low acidity, but otherwise clearly cool region style. Pleasure on the palate is limited with some minor bitter off notes when warming up in the glass.

Some More Wine with Meals in Burgundy and Northern Rhone; 4/9/2019-4/17/2019 (France): Starts off with rich orchard fruit that did not seem so classically Chablis, but more lemon flavors and mineral textures coming through on good finish. Best to enjoy now through the next decade.
