  • Almost no nose at all, with only whiffs of mint coming out after several hours of air. Silky texture with an inner sense of fruit sweetness and weight that is not immediately apparent, some cherry, mintiness, old coffee, faint oxidation, and very old wood bolstering the robust acidity. Listen carefully, this speaks very quietly and was fairly disappointing given an excellent bottle of the '63 recently.
