This is great, and the CT drinking window (to 2021) turned out to be completely incorrect - it's barely ready! Decanted for a bit of sediment and drunk over three hours. Deep maroon core with a slightly faded rim. Stony, restrained, brambly bouquet with flashes of rose petal, sweet rolling tobacco and meat. Very dry on the palate, quite fruity - tart raspberry, deep black cherry and tannic red apple - and quite stony like the nose. The tannins have melted into a sort of blackberry crumble-flavoured sandpaper feeling, which lingers delightfully on the tongue and the gums. An attractive and very grown-up wine.

Odd/funky nose. Medium weight, medium tannins and some acidity. Medium red color, but decent finish and was enjoyable. Some earthy notes along with light floral scents

Day-4: Great balance, nice example of a great Loire Cab. Franc. Needs more aging but still very nice. Appearance: Med ruby, clear, slight color in quick forming legs. Nose: Clean, med+ intensity, gamay-like nose, funky at first, slight earthiness, minerality Palate: Dry, med acid, low tannin, full body, peach, red sour grape, slight Hershey fudge powder, sulphur, slight meatiness, steak fat, cherry kool-aide Finish/Conclusion: Finish = 35secs - earthiness headed to red fruit to Apple to yeast into final blandness
