Yum! This is great. Good herbs, coffee, green pepper. Like most 2006's, this has a richness and fatness that I really like. This wine is not at all falling apart. It's in a great place, really enjoyable.

The 2006 Cuvee de la Cure from Charles Joguet is lean and slightly vegetal. I was hoping for more ripeness as the green peppercorn aspect overpowers the fruit. More body, more glycerin please. I'm not asking for a big, full-bodied wine, but the Cuvee de la Cure just falls short in the ripeness department, and thus balance. I will say tasters familiar with Cabernet Franc will recognize the varietal immediately even if tasted blind on this wine. This does not have the structure to improve with time.

some drying tannins but light on its feet and likely to improve over the next 5+ years.
