Wednesday evening in Diessenhofen, birthday of Sabrina, a 1979 primeur 😎. Short decant of a bottle I brought to gasthof Schupfen. Bottle was sourced ex chateau. Dark to medium ruby color so still looking very solid after 44 years. Mushroom, earth, medicinal nose. Med- acidity, med body, med alcohol, med flavor intensity, med tannins, med finish. Green and medicinal mouth, orange, light peppery note, this is still drinking nice. Especially after 30 min in the glass. Like it but only for those who like old style gentle bordeaux.
