Deep ruby in the glass with garnet hues. The palate is so dry, you can almost smell it. Nose of dark black fruit, pencil shavings, cedar. Ripe tannins, moderate acidity, a bit rough around the edges. Good, but not great.

With silky textures, forward character and a sweet, fresh, red cherry core of fruits with mineral essences, this is a Larcis Ducasse to enjoy in its youth while you wait for the 2015 to develop.

UCGB tasting Bordeaux 2013 (Amsterdam): In the bouquet green herbs and some smoke. On the palate creamy and juicy red and dark berries, good acidity and firm tannin. 88 for today.

Amsterdam UGC Tasting and Winemakers' Dinner (Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky / Café De Klepel): Good presence, truffle, ripe fruit (slightly overripe perhaps?), quite a firm tannic structure. Ambitious.

2013 editon of En Primeur - Kelly and Kevin’s excellent adventure; 3/26/2014-4/1/2014 (Mostly in Bordeaux and a night in Paris): Sweet and ripe red and black fruit driven, fresh flowers and mineral. Excellent concentration, jammy black fruit driven palate, mineral and noticeable presence of tannins but not obtrusive. Good balance.
