This may have been my best bottle from a case! Sadly only 2 left! Great balance, excellent structure and soft dark fruits that have emerged over the mineral accents of its youth. Really enjoyable now if you have them.

Opened and consumed over 8 hours. Last glass was the best.
Ox-blood in color. Bricking rim. Iodine, Sangre, nails and iron off the nose. Unctuous, a little 'sticky'. Grippy. Medium finish with a low fruit base. Some red cherries. Better than the last bottle I had 18 or so months ago.

We do not often taste Bordeaux, from both Cab or Merlot, but still I have some background myself ... :)
What is great about the Chateau is its location in St Emilion, from the sandy and loamy "near" the river, to the upper part of the plateau and its chalky limestone.
Nose of truffle, black fruits, ripe and decadent, pencil shavings, it is quite nice.
Palate is still quite young with a good acidity and still good body, what is remarkable is the cold mineralogy and chalkiness it does have !
Still young, but I believe it will not match the best vintages I tasted from that wine such as 2004 or 2016 IE
