This was a major disappointment, especially taking the price into consideration. The wine was almost brownish when poured, and showed some funk initially. As it blew off it gave way to a pure note of crushed sour cherries but unfortunately also brett.
While the wine was low extraction, it did show the typicity of Morey Saint Denis, but the brett ruined everything for me. I will not be buying any more Fourrier for consumption, but perhaps as an investment.
Bodacious and ripe, fresh dark cherry, a fruit-forward pleasure bomb with spice and medium tannin, briar and gunflint on a long finish. Easy to like, but not subtle. A good gateway Burg for the Pinot-curious.

Utterly gorgeous seductive young Burgundy . A nose of the ripest red fruits . On the palate some tannic background which shows this wine will age well - no overly evidentcarbin dioxide and no need for a Fourrier shake !
The fruit overcomes any tannin at this age beautifully balanced with a long finish - dazzling

Molto buono inizialmente. Continua con grande piacevolezza che man mano si trasforma in piacioneria perdendo il nerbo e la struttura inizialmente appena accennata. Si slabbra e i siede. Manca quella punta fondamentale di presenza acida che da carattere al vino.

This is a Fourrier that I rarely drink generally preferring to go to the Gevrey wines, but I must say this was quite good. The nose is ripe with a hint of menthol on the rich red fruits, a bit of game and earth. Definitely a bit different than the Gevrey wines. The palate is definitely classic Fourrier with lovely crunchy red fruits and violet, very elegant and suave, still a bit different than the Gevrey and quite tasty.
