*Still* showing far, far younger than I'd have expected. Pretty broad-shouldered. Not unpleasant but not terribly interesting either at this point if you're looking for terroir, detail, and/or development. Guessing this might've taken 10+ more years to round into my sweet spot at this rate.

The previous note describes it pretty well. I would add that this is showing shockingly young coming from a supposedly mediocre vintage for near term consumption (really starting to understand that generalizations in Burgundy don't really work). The oak did blow off on the 2nd night and the wine was showing better. This is quite tasty today but somewhat one dimensional. Given all the material and acidic structure that's in place, I would hold for 3-5 years if I had more bottles.

Just what you expect from a T-B 97 - warm, ripe, the oak still noticeable, sweet, smoky, tobacco, but also a fruity acidic core providing life - moreish and satisfying

I could have persisted with this - it was dense, a bit of funk, but it was flat and cardboardy and I felt it wasn't worth bothering with.
