  Purchased in March 2018 from Zachy's auction. Shocked that there was only 1 prior review on CT. Medium red color with noticeable amber on the edge. A little restrained at first, but then opened up to display a lovely nose of black cherries, spice and just a hint of earth. Rich black cherry fruit dominates as the tannins have faded away after 17 years with an excellent finish. A noteworthy effort given the vintage from my favorite Beaune producer. Drink up!

  Anita: Deep dark purple-red w/faint color change; wow! aromatic juicy dark cherry, wild forest strawberry, some classic cola, cin. w/soft earthy notes behind; Great med. plus bod, tons of juicy acidity; this is a wonderful pinot that is still in its prime. W/pork chops in tangy mustard sauce and yuckon gold potatoes.
