I found this very disappointing and wonder if I had an off bottle, but there was no obvious flaw so I am giving it a rating. It was very closed when first tasted but never really opened up, even over the course of 2 days. It had little of the characteristics of Cote Rotie and little to recommend it. I'm honestly being generous with my numerical score. I'm glad some others enjoyed their bottles more.

{Opened by host at dinner party with superb cassoulet; never had before} Good, not great, without the sensual smokiness and flair I expect in classic Cote Rotie. Felt modern - expected more, alas. Marginally disappointed as anticipated more.

Second time with this wine. Beautiful nose with a lot of herbs and other savory notes. A bit closed and tannic, so I might hold or give this a more extended decant.

from a magnum, this is an enigmatic wine and never really opened up even over three hours - I would be inclined to leave this for quite a few years to see if it does eventually show its wares

mature and quite savoury, this was quite an easy drinking cote-rotie - not the most complex of wines, it still may improve with a few more years in the bottle
