Nicolas Feuillatte 1996 Palmes d'Or and Millesime 2002
Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque 1998
Our starter champane. At a very ripe level. Typical CdC nose, a lot of vanilla, nuts creme brulee, yellow fruits but a lack of acidity so the aging potential of this wine will be not for the eternity. nuts and honey in the finish but in a matured way. at his peak

(WD50, NY) Very straight forward and mature now. Lots of fruit, toffee, coffee, hazelnuts and chalk. Very easy to like, but not overly complecs. long aftertaste

Again a wonderful Comtes. This one didn't even seem fully mature. Lots of fine bubbles and acid. Toffee, coffee, nuts, citrus, dough, chalk and bread. Light yellow/greenish color.

Am I really the first to taste the wonderfull wine! Well, I am afraid I only had the one my self. But what a wine. It's evident it's not a great year. But never the less a very lovely wine. At it's peak right now I would say. Coffee, green apples, toffee. Mousse is medium. Light green/yellow color. Not a ´96 or ´95 but very drinkable just less overwelming.
Saved the half with my new Champagne stopper overnight. And even here the evening after, it is still very good. Bubbles faded a bit, but the taste just as good if not better

just reaching it's peak now. Very creamy, a little high acidity but high intensity.
