A little bit dirty immediately out of the bottle, but cleaned up nicely with minimal air. Very pretty aromatics and tastes like fresh raspberries. Elegant, bright and silky!

This has a fantastic nose, everything you want from a burgundy, dark cherry fruit, eastern spices and some sous bois, quite intoxicating. The palate followed through nicely, still fresh with plenty of fruit mingling with the earthy spices, just lovely and a pleasure to drink (wimps Xmas 2023)

The wine was very closed in the beginning - where we were quite worried - but really opened up and ended up being a great wine and giving us a good experience - we are getting ripe strawberries and cherries and also some blueberries - - we also get some forrest floor - the wine is very elegant - but still comes across as masculine - acidity is more dominating that tannins - but the wine still has a good balance. The wine is complex and well made - still has some years to go before it is fully developed - has long and nice aftertaste - we think the wine deserved solid 95.

Phil and Jane: Cork 3/4 soaked. PnP. Mid-garnet. Aromas changing in the glass. Fresh red strawberries and forest floor elements. Touch of boot polish quickly dissipated. Then smoke, brown spice, more red berries. A savoury, almost umami note. Fully integrated tannins. Complex, layered and complete wine, this bottle well into the drinking zone.

Still very young, surprisingly. However the upside is not too far off and another 3~4 years of patience should be worth waiting. On the nose very elegant and attractive but still firm and not fully opening yet... somewhat 'masculine' aromas of the red fruits, red flowers, high pitch and beautiful substance is still somewhat dormant. On the palate, still quite young and tart, the 'La Roche' is strongly present and near stoically. Extremely well made, superbe wine in the making, and I will wait another 5 years for the next bottle.

(Rousseau Armand Clos de la Roche) Medium, medium-plus cherry-red colour. A forward and expressive nose of vanilla-tinged red and black fruit, a creme brulee note becoming stronger with time. It's well balanced and finely presented in an elegant, rather than powerful, way. Well made and tasty, though hardly exceptional. Good-plus.
