Last bottle was Apr 23. I remembered it being nice but I was really impressed with the complexity of the palate. A delightful wine, very much on the dark fruit spectrum, plushly textured and well managed oak. Just 1 of 3 left sadly.

While watching the 49rs play the Lions. This is a really good wine. I opened and let it sit for 2+ hours. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, dark plums, tobacco, cedar and a hint of vanilla leading to a long finish. Actually, slightly better that the 2014 I had the night before.
Unfortunately, the outcome of the football games was not as good as the wine.

Last Saturday I opened a bottle of the 2014 and was really disappointed Last night, for the first time in two years I opened this bottle. This is a really good wine. I opened and decanted and let it sit for a while as we were drinking a 2013 Insignia. The wine has dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, dark plums, tobacco, cedar and a hint of vanilla leading to a long finish. Most people at the table, myself included, preferred this wine to the Insignia.
Decanted for about an hour, but didn’t need it,very drinkable now with a smooth delivery and spectacular finish. While drinking well now may improve in a few years.
