  • I love the Zeltinger Sonnenuhr wines that Prüm produce. 16's are drinking very nicely with a couple of days of air. This is cloud-like and super delicate. The acidity isn't super high, which doesn't bother me much, as the wine is still incredibly well balanced. Tons of white peach, mashed pears, honeydew melon, nectarine, Amalfi lemon, squashed blueberry, raspberry sorbet ice cream and elderflower. Like a breath of fresh air, this is a delight to drink.

  • Prior bottle was close to three years ago (April 2020) and the wine has evolved positively in that time. Nose starts off with white pear, apple and melon (no more green notes) and as it warms, also shows white peach and floral notes. Medium bodied with white apple upfront, retaining a nice amount of brightness. White pear and slightly more expressive white apple through the middle with white peach behind. Mid-body shows good density and in such a fashion that it feels like there's more expression to be revealed in the coming years as the wine continues to integrate. Acidity as well as citrus on the back and through the finish. The acidity is more concealing the fruit, rather than acting as an amplifier with electricity of acidity. I plan to hold my next bottle until 2024 and see how it develops, but it clearly has a number of years in front of it.

  • The nose is not quiet as intense as I would like from a high quality spätlese. Notes of plastic, sulphur, ripe tropical fruit and lime.
Same goes for the mouth, I would like more intensity and a bit more acid. Some phenolic bitterness. Overall a pleasure to drink but I expected more.

  • Always great wines but be a tough ask to get excited at the price. Clean as a whistle, uncomplicated, juicy. Good afternoon drinking.

  • Wow, the juice of my dreams!
Can't remember when I had this bottle, sometime 2020-2021.
