More golden than I remember. A great TN note which I agree with - big hit of sulphur on the nose, which blew off. But a big nose and other notes were petrol and lemon. Lovely full mouthfeel, mid acidity, more fruit than I remember - pineapple and just ripe honeydew. Long finish. Drinking really well and nicely in its drinking window. Very easy drink.

until now as always a pleasure to drink a jj prüm spätlese. this one is not as freaky as other prüms tend to be, but that doesn't matter. big sulfuric, prüm typical nose at the beginning, even on the 4th day the bottle is open. no fizzyness, low acid, smooth to drink. behind the sulfur are elderflowers, quinces, pears, white pepper, cloves; in the empty glass vanilla. so a perfect wine for christmas time. anytime again.

No surprise the acidity was low here, and pairing it will a pickled nectarine and red onion salad (burrata yum!) was a solid move to create a very good pairing. As to the wine itself, it came across almost a puree like in its green apple fruit, so background slate and mineral, and just enough tension to make it all work. I have one more of these and am not really sure how long I should hold it.

As always a great QPR. I love these wines over the summer, but its good with food anytime. This wine didn't have as much backbone acidity as I would like, but at this stage it doesn't matter and it is drinking well. Good grapefruit and a hit of honey. Highly quaffable.

Nose is showing signs of maturity, a hint of gasoline & vanilla, but palate is all honey, red apple, tropical fruit. Simply delicious.
