  Ho provato ad attendere 12 anni prima di bere questo rinomato Dolcetto di Dogliani del 2001, al fine di verificare nel mio piccolo ed in modo empirico le pretese potenzialità di invecchiamento di questo vitigno messe in campo dal marketing doglianese in questi ultimi anni.
  Il risultato è un vino che, pur se creato per invecchiare qualche anno di più, a mio avviso fatica ad oltrepassare la decade senza perdere in qualità.
  A parte il colore che si presenta molto bene, evoluto ma molto bello e brillante, il resto del vino dà l'impressione di essere piuttosto esausto ed abbastanza fiaccato dal tempo. Nonostante ciò rimane un vino non spregevole, molto evoluto per i pochi anni d'invecchiamento, ma abbastanza piacevole, con un naso dominato da prugne secche, ciliege sotto spirito ed una chiusura che richiama l'acquavite. Una bocca un po' magra ma abbastanza dolce e piacevole. Rimane il fatto che 6/7 anni fa era un vino decisamente migliore.
  Per me il Dolcetto rimane un vino buonissimo da giovane.

  Wonderful smoky nose of black berries and fruit. Big fruity taste that fills the mouth and covers the palate with rich fruit and nice acidity but with only a little smoothe and sweet tannins. Better than I remember it a year ago. Wish I had more of this one as it is aging beautifully.

  This is a balanced wine that deserves to be treated seriously and not tossed off as many do with Dolcettos. Less fruity than some but more structured and harmonious as a result. Great buy!
