Quite nice, drinking perfectly. Lively and intense herbal cherry, black cherry, zippy but good acidity and tannin. Some mineral and earth backdrop. Well integrated so really synergistic with the fruit, giving it some fullness. Nine years on, dolcetto singing away.

The stronger, bolder end of the Dolcetto spectrum, this is the top-flight Einaudi Dolcetto, from the top-flight Dolcetto region of Dogliani. I'm glad I let this one rest a little in the bottle. Great backbone, structure and muted fruit with a generous mouthfeel. Meant for food.

If you've got no problems sniffing glue, this might work for you. But I had a hard time even getting the nose inside!
Intense aromas of glue sticks, cherry seeds, nail polish and paint thinner. Give some time and temperature, roughly an hour of fierce swirling, I manage to conjure some bright red berries. Strawberries, sour cherries and a little blueberries.
Rather light bodied, despite its 14,5% abv. Medium acidity, round with no tannins. Medium(-) intensity and a somewhat short finish.
Not impressed at all.

Tart berries. Lively appetizing acidity. With pasta salsicia and mahi mahi at Venticello, San Francisco.
