Delicious, fully mature Brunello wine with more tertiary than secondary at this point. As much sediment as one would expect at this stage, so a careful decant is necessary. That said, if this bottle was representative, there's no reason to aerate further, this PnP worked out well over the 2 hours this was open. Should hold for a few more years at this quality level. 14,5% abv., cork and fill in vg condition. recommended
Dear oh dear TWO bottles completely stewed. the first two from this case. Brown in colour, not an ounce of fruit left, tasting acetic and as if 50 years old. 10 bottles left to find a better bottle, but this is a terrible start.

Nose: The nose is flowing with red cherries, roasted herbs, dark red berries, earth, violets, and a touch of leather. There is a lovely layering effect on the nose with a seamless quality to it as well.
Taste: Medium bodied with medium/high acidity and silky tannins. The structure is still there, but there is a satiny quality to the feel with red cherries, roasted herbs, violets, incense, leather, and currants.
Overall: This is a lovely Brunello that has really hit its stride. There is an understatement to the wine while showing off some age along with being able to age for another 10+ years.

Opened at 2 and recork back until dinner. Excellent shape, black fruit, currant, berry. Tannin, acidity and alcohol provide a great balance. Still have potential to age for a few more years, but drink now is really enjoyable
