  Pop and pour. Austere, almost bitter, some forest floor, perhaps a bit of wood. Dry, very dry. Sour cherry and dark fruits, if you can find them through the distraction of everything else. After a glorious experience a few days prior with the '16 Salicutti Teatro, this was a big disappointment. It improved slightly over the course of a few hours, but that Teatro was amazing from the start so not sure air can rescue this. With 5 more in the cellar, I'm hoping this was an odd bottle but my expectations are not high.

  Very open right from the start. Cherry, raspberry, herbs, aged leather, damp earth…. Very good but drinks like it’s 10 plus years old.
