Tasted exactly as I expected, so excellent typicity. Plum, bubblegum, subtle tomato leaf, black pepper. The bubblegum is a deal breaker for me and I prefer more structured wines. Solid offering if this is your thing.

Bottle #1 2/19/20 - (opened yesterday) - color: light purple velvet; nose: cherry; taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, dark fruit taste with notes of earth and spice, nice acid balance, chalky medium-length finish; overall: holy cow -- lots different (and *much* more to my liking!) on Day 2... yesterday's unappealing green, rustic tone has lifted completely to reveal an interesting fruit-forward wine. Lesson learned: give this wine plenty of time to open up!
Bottle #2 6/27/20 - (opened 2 days ago) - as described above...this time, also picking up some smokiness on the finish. Good on its own, but cries out to be paired with grilled pork tenderloin or a roast chicken. Good QPR ($15.80/bottle via Garagiste)

Ok, so this ain’t a classified Bdx but there are times when you just want a lower ABV (13%), lower tannin, less structured, flavorful, tasty, lightly acidic wine to drink. This one checks the boxes perfectly. It’s got a little cranberry, glycerin, and slight suggestions of fresh mushroom & green peppers. I am loving these recent “climate change” Gamays. Excellent QPR and a real crowd pleaser...I should buy a case! Great job Garagiste!

Cru Beaujolais and friends (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): lozenge, slightly creamy, floral, cherry, pretty nose and it's equally pretty on the palate with a little talc textured burr and a tiny stalky note joins the flavours from the nose. Okay.

Red cherries and some salinity (olive?) on the nose. Nice minerality on the palate.
