Interesting to try at such a young age. A reductive nose. Lots of wood. Tannic. Grip. Bright fruits. Vibrant. Fresh. A big wine. Popped and poured but much, much better after 2-3 hours of air when the wood and sulphur blow off to leave an abundance of red fruits.
Whilst curious to try, I would leave this a decade.
Drank with SW at LQV. My first CSJ from this domaine.

Annual Roi Chambertin tasting: 2016 Gevreys from village to grand cru (Espace Chambertin, Bourgogne): A bit too oak influenced here, when compared to the Rene Leclerc, tasted just before. This estate is not known for too much oak, is it? What is happening? I far prefer the Rene Leclerc. Maybe I am misjudging how well the oak will be integrated later in bottle, but for now: strictly neutral.
