It served along with other 2005 of GC in my BD dinner. it served well and stood out easily comparing with other 2005 Chambertin GC, as lovely aroma and smooth palate, though some blind guessed it as BDX wine.

Nick's 64 Goodge Street (Mainly) Burg Dinner (64 Goodge St): Youthful with a rich, dark-fruited nose, vanilla oak, touch of lquorice. Medium/full bodied, quite plush, tactile and layered with waves of sumptuous dark fruit, touch of meatiness, lovely vibrant acids, long finish. Lovely, should age well.

Nick's Burgundy evening at 64 Goodge Street: Quite a dark red. So young still, nice now but a brittle tannic edge that suggests this has years left in the tank. If you have several by all means pop one, else keep this for another five years. Fruit and acid still in perfect harmony, with great balance between succulence and tartness. Red cherry, bright fruit spectrum, with time some tomato leaf and oil. Excellent.

Fruit, complexity and balance, this wine has it all, in a relatively powerful style. Should drink great for several years, absolutely no sign of getting over the hill.

Nick A's 64 Goodge Street Burgundy Dinner (64 Goodge Street, London): Lifted redcurrant fruits, some sliced plum and a little nutmeg. Palate has more of the same and faint caress of rose and with air some darker fruits too. Good persistence. Really like this.
