Double Blind tasting Medium/ dark ruby color Medium plus aromas of black cherry/ dark florals/ white pepper and dusty minerality - no new oak noted Medium plus body of dark cherry and cough syrup - initially palate was quite hollow but this strengthened with time in the glass Medium plus tannins and medium acidity with medium plus alcohol Medium plus length led by tannins/ alcohol I went with CdP/ Gigondas due to the Grenache character Drink now - possibly hold but not sure improvement will result

Dark ruby Aromatics medium. Dark berries, dark floral, dry herb/dry burnt woody stems, later with some cracked green peppercorns. No new oak Palate has a medium + body. Acid medium. Alcohol medium +. Tannins medium +, medium grained on the tongue and throughout the mouth. Ripe dark plums Finish has a medium + length. Balance towards the alcohol. Dry glass notes of peppercorn Overall, nose was somewhat muted but complex. Palate opened up overtime, but was still structure over fruit. Good typicity though. Drink now given fruit will not likely get better.

Not sure about this bottle, so no score. I had it some months ago and this did not match in any way, although I could not put my finger on what was wrong. Too sweet and one-dimensional.

A truly herbal nose, basil, mint oozing from the glass. Airy palate feel, crème de cassis notes, mint and basil. Singular expression of Gigondas, and I like it. Soft and smooth, silky tannins. Will be interesting to follow.

Decanted for an hour with Vinturi. Very pleasant and will improve.
