I shared this with my wine group at an Italian restaurant, and it was a hit! Its is starting to develop some secondary spice and tar flavors, but the fruit is still tasting fresh. This is where I like my Barolos. Great nose. Long finish.

Dusty and herbal with marzipan, cherries and sweet tobacco and hints of roses. A bit austere palate with harsh finely grained tannins but also revealing cherries and cherry stones with some salami wrapped around medium, juicy body. Accessible now, but I would wait at least 5 more years.
