In a modern style.. a lot of oak influence.. had some beautiful herbal aromatics and a soft texture but I couldn't help imagining the whole time how much more beautiful it would be without all the oak

Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. Iconic wine now made by the daughter of one of the original Barolo Boys. Decanted. Deep ruby/garnet, surprisingly intense for a Barolo. M aromas of tart red currant, black plum, wild roses, ink, licorice, pine forest floor and some baking spice. Aged 24 mos in used French barrique. Dry, with M+ acidity, M+ to high, chalky tannins and high alcohol (15%, but seems a bit lower). Full-bodied, with pronounced flavor intensity and great length, with ripe black cherry, black plum and licorice dominating. Barely in its optimal drinking window, it showed better five days after being decanted...
