  Thirty minute decant. Deep dark magenta color, with little signs of age. Blackberry jelly, Korean plum, anise, walnut, and subtle basil. Smooth and very dry. Lively, medium intensity tannins on the longish finish.
  
  Enjoyed this at Duddell’s on my last night in Hong Kong. Went great with crispy brisket and barbecue pork.

  It's been a long time since I picked up any Shiraz, or had any really, and I enjoyed this big monster. Quite powerful and structured, though not due to insufficient age, but just the nature of the wine profile. Despite the power, the wine's class was evident. This was highly drinkable and inviting. Good value for the quality, at Costco at about $50 plus tax.

  Nose: Deep fruit, dark plum, blackberry, coffee, eucalyptus.
  
  Taste: Dark plum, blackberry, coffee. Balanced with deep fruit and silky tannins. Long finish.

  Clear improvement with time. Increasing body. More intensive taste. Back fruits jam. Grilled meat. Coffee. Silky tanins. Perfect now.

  Full on Barossa dark fruit bomb!
  Lovely texture, slightly brassy as Barossa tends to be in my experience but an excellent archetypal Barossa Shiraz.
